The Nursing Officer at DRRMLIMS provides comprehensive patient care in accordance with professional standards, medical directives, and institutional policies. The role focuses on patient safety, nursing excellence, infection control, and collaboration with healthcare teams to support effective patient treatment and recovery.
Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to patients according to prescribed medical plans.
Monitor vital signs, record observations, and promptly report abnormalities to physicians.
Assist doctors during clinical procedures, emergency management, surgeries, and patient evaluations.
Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and maintain accurate medication charts.
Ensure proper maintenance, handling, and sterilisation of nursing equipment and clinical materials.
Adhere to hospital protocols related to infection control, patient safety, biomedical waste management, and hygiene standards.
Maintain detailed patient records (Nursing Notes, Reports, Consent Forms & Clinical Documentation).
Educate patients and attendants regarding treatments, diet instructions, and post-procedure care.
Provide care and support for critically ill, post-operative, ICU, NICU, PICU, Oncology, and Emergency patients as per assignment.
Follow ethical guidelines, confidentiality rules, and patient rights policies of DRRMLIMS.
Participate in nursing audits, quality improvements, clinical training, and departmental meetings.
Respond effectively during medical emergencies (Code Blue/CPR, Trauma Care, Mass Casualty Alerts).
Support and supervise nursing assistants and other supportive staff.
B.Sc Nursing / GNM from a recognised institution.
Registration with the State Nursing Council is mandatory.
Experience in government/teaching hospital preferred (not mandatory for freshers as per institute norms).
Excellent clinical and patient care skills
